\u6982\u8981: In recent years, significant advances have been made\u00a0in the development of computational methods for predicting 3D scene\u00a0structure from a single monocular image. However, their computational\u00a0complexity severely limits the adoption of such technologies to various\u00a0computer vision and image processing applications. In this talk, we are\u00a0going to explain various problems of 3D video processing based on the\u00a0depth information of the scene. After reviewing the current status of\u00a03DTV research activities, we are going to cover several challenging\u00a0issues of 3D video capturing, such as camera calibration, image\u00a0rectification, illumination compensation and color correction. We are\u00a0also going to discuss related 3D video processing techniques, including\u00a0prediction structure for 3D video coding, 2D video-plus-depth coding,\u00a0and intermediate view synthesis at virtual viewpoints.<\/p>\n
\u8b1b\u6f14\u8005\u7565\u6b74: Yo-Sung Ho received the B.S. and M.S.\u00a0degrees in electronic engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul,\u00a0Korea, in 1981 and 1983, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in\u00a0electrical and computer engineering from the University of California,\u00a0Santa Barbara, in 1990. He joined ETRI (Electronics and\u00a0Telecommunications Research Institute), Daejon, Korea, in 1983. From\u00a01990 to 1993, he was with Philips Laboratories, Briarcliff Manor, New\u00a0York, where he was involved in development of the Advanced Digital\u00a0High-Definition Television (AD-HDTV) system. In 1993, he rejoined the\u00a0technical staff of ETRI and was involved in development of the Korean\u00a0DBS Digital Television and High-Definition Television systems. Since\u00a0September 1995, he has been with Gwangju Institute of Science and\u00a0Technology (GIST), where he is currently Professor of Information and\u00a0Communications Department. Since August 2003, he has been Director of\u00a0Realistic Broadcasting Research Center (RBRC) at GIST in Korea. His\u00a0research interests include Digital Image and Video Coding, Image\u00a0Analysis and Image Restoration, Three-dimensional Image Modeling and\u00a0Representation, Advanced Source Coding Techniques, Three-dimensional\u00a0Television (3DTV) and Realistic Broadcasting Technologies.<\/p>\n
