Ando, a first-year master’s student, and Nakamura, a fourth-year undergraduate student, participated in the 30th PARTHENON Workshop, organized by the nonprofit PARTHENON Society, held at the Tokyo Campus of the Institute for Small Business Management and Technology, Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, JAPAN, from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30 (Tsutsui also participated). They designed hardware using the hardware description language NSL, developed C programs to run on the SN/X CPU, which was also designed using NSL, and implemented the resulting hardware/software systems on the DE10-Lite platform. They also gained hands-on experience with logic synthesis, placement and routing, GDS generation, and static timing analysis (STA) using the Coriolis Open EDA Tool.
