The Future of Mobile Networks: 5G and Beyond (Advanced Lectures in Media and Network Technology II, 2015)

This course will explore the evolution of mobile networks over the next ten years towards 5G and beyond, explaining the real capacities of the various technologies for network operators. 5G and its user cases and system requirements, D2D and M2M networking, heterogeneous networks, dynamic spectrum management, MU-MIMO and Massive MIMO, next generation cellular network and SDN are all topics of interest. It is an opportunity to gain an overview of what will shape the telecoms industry over the next decade. This course is taught from the conveners’ latest research and that of distinguished researchers in the field. This course will suit postgraduates, strategists, network engineers, and people looking for a comprehensive view of the future mobile networks.
