IEEE CASS Sapporo Workshop on Circuits and Systems

On Monday, July 31st, Professor Myung Hoon Sunwoo, the incoming president of IEEE CASS, along with other professors from IEEE CASS, visited the campus and delivered invited talks. Several students from our research lab also attended and listened to the talks.

BCT Conference at July 2023

Mr. Kumaki presented his research at the July 2023 Broadcasting and Communication Technologies Workshop held at Sapporo Business Innovation Center on July 27-28.

“Campus Clean Day” 2023

We participated in the Campus Clean-up Day held at Hokkaido University on Wednesday, May 17th. This was the first time the event had been held in four years, with the last one taking place in 2019.

Lab tour for 2nd-year undergraduate students 2023

On Apr. 25th, we held the lab tour for 2nd-year undergraduate students as part of the class.
After Prof. Tsutsui introduced our laboratory, we introduced image processing by using FPGA board, radio function by using USRP, and body tracking function by using Azure Kinect as a demonstration exhibit.

IEICE Hokkaido Section Student Council Internet Symposium 2023 Best Presentation Award

Mr. Hirai and Mr. Kumaki won one of the best presentation awards at IEICE Hokkaido Section Student Council Internet Symposium 2023 for the following presentation.

Technical meeting with UTS professors

On March 1(Wed.), Prof. Eryk Dutkiewicz and Prof. Negin Shariati Moghadam from the University of Technology Sydney (Sydney, Australia) visited our lab, and we had a technical meeting.
Some of our lab members participated in the meeting and presented of their research.

Introduction of Media Network Course for Freshmen (Feb. 2023)

On February 8 (Wed.), the second course introduction for freshmen was held. We participated in that introduction as part of the Media Network Course, and gave a panel presentation and a demonstration using the USRP to freshmen.
