Research Presentations by Mr. Saeki at the BCT Workshop

Mr. Saeki gave a presentation on his research at the BCT Workshop, which was held in Kitami on July 16 and 17.

Hokkokai Tamaire Competition 2026

We participated in the Hokkokai Tamaire Competition held on Tuesday, July 7, representing the Media Network Course. We scored exactly one hundred TAMA, but did not place.

IEICE Hokkaido Section Student Activity Committee Internet Symposium 2026 (FY 2025) and Student Branch Advisors Award

Mr. Iura and Mr. Kawashima presented their works at IEICE Hokkaido Section Student Activity Committee Internet Symposium 2026 (FY 2025), which was held online from Feb. 20 to 27. Mr. Iura received the Hokkaido Section Student Branch Advisors Award.

In conjunction with the School and Department Introduction (February 2026) scheduled as follows, the Media and Network Technologies Course will offer opportunities to visit the laboratories.

Our laboratory will hold a lab tour as follows. We encourage you to participate.

Hokkokai (北工会) Tug-of-War Tournament 2026

On January 19, Mr. Zhao, Mr. Hori, and Ms. Sakaki participated in the Hokkokai (北工会) Tug-of-War Tournament as members of the Course of Media and Network Technologies. Unfortunately, our team was defeated by the Course of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the first round.

Lab orientation/tour for 3rd-year undergraduate students, 2025

We will conduct a laboratory orientation for third-year undergraduate students as per the following schedule:

  • Location: 11-12, IST Building 11th floor
  • Date and Time: Oct 17 (Fri) at 13:00-, 14:00-
    (Please try to join us at an earlier time if possible. We may not conduct the session after 14:00 if there are no participants.)

Visits (tours) to the lab are also possible. The available time slots are as follows:

  • Location: ICN Lab., IST Building 11th floor
  • Date and Time: Students will definitely be available during the following hours.
    (Refrain from visiting before the end of the experiment; School of Engineering Timetable)

    • Oct 16 (Thu) 16:30-, after the end of the experiment
    • Oct 22 (Wed) 16:30-, after the end of the experiment
    • Oct 23 (Thu) 16:30-, after the end of the experiment

Temporary suspension of services due to planned power outage (Sep 13 – 16, 2025)

A planned power outage will be conducted at Hokkaido University’s Sapporo Campus on Sunday, September 14th, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. As a result, all lab services will be suspended
from 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 13th, until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 16th.
The service suspension period may vary, and some services might be running slightly, or they might not be running at all.

“Campus Clean Day” 2025

We participated in the Campus Clean-up Day held at Hokkaido University on Wednesday, May 13.

IEICE Hokkaido Section Student Council Internet Symposium 2025 Best Presentation Award

Ms. Sakaki won one of the Best Presentation Awards at IEICE Hokkaido SAC Internet Symposium 2025 for the following presentation.
