Introduction of Media Network Course for Freshmen (Sep. 2023)

On Friday, September 29th, an introductory session for freshmen was held. Students from our research laboratory also participated as representatives of the Media Network Course. We provided an overview of the course, explained the research laboratory through panel presentations, and demonstrated equipment to the freshmen.

IEEE CASS Sapporo Workshop on Circuits and Systems

On Monday, July 31st, Professor Myung Hoon Sunwoo, the incoming president of IEEE CASS, along with other professors from IEEE CASS, visited the campus and delivered invited talks. Several students from our research lab also attended and listened to the talks.

Also a reception was held at Matsuo-Jingisukan restaurant on the evening of the 27th.

“Campus Clean Day” 2023

We participated in the Campus Clean-up Day held at Hokkaido University on Wednesday, May 17th. This was the first time the event had been held in four years, with the last one taking place in 2019.

Lab tour for 2nd-year undergraduate students 2023

On Apr. 25th, we held the lab tour for 2nd-year undergraduate students as part of the class.
After Prof. Tsutsui introduced our laboratory, we introduced image processing by using FPGA board, radio function by using USRP, and body tracking function by using Azure Kinect as a demonstration exhibit.

Introduction of Media Network Course for Freshmen (Feb. 2023)

On February 8 (Wed.), the second course introduction for freshmen was held. We participated in that introduction as part of the Media Network Course, and gave a panel presentation and a demonstration using the USRP to freshmen.
