Lecture about Macquarie University (Sydney), May 11

On 11th May, we invited Dr. Nikos Kopidakis, Ms. Yoko Kaitani (Both from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia) for a lecture about Macquarie University focusing on their cotutelle and double degree programs.

Hokkaido Summer Institute (HSI) 2018

Tuition fee of these lectures for Hokkaido University students is free. Hokkaido University students can make registrations for these lectures during class registration period in April. On Mar 2, Prof. Yumi Takizawa and Prof. Fukasawa Atsushi from Institute of Statistical Mathematics visited our laboratory. The professors made a lecture entitled “New Neuron Models Based on Applied Mathematics” for us.

Technical lectures by Dr. Ying He and Dr. Negin Shariati Moghadam from University of Technology Sydney (UTS) were held on Feb. 13 and 14. On Aug. 11, IEICE International Seminar: How to Write High Quality Papers was held at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand. Prof. Miyanaga gave a lecture in this seminar with Prof. Akira Taguchi (Tokyo City University) and Prof. Takao Onoye (Osaka University).

The Future of Mobile Networks: 5G and Beyond (Advanced Lectures in Media and Network Technology II, 2015) Lecture 3, 4 (13:00-16:15, Aug. 3)

An intensive course entitled “The Future of Mobile Networks: 5G and Beyond” is now in process. For the details, please visit here.
On Aug. 3, Lectures 3 and 4 were held. Since the number of lectures is 8 in total, half of them are finished. Dr. Gengfa Fang (Lecturer of Macquarie University, Australia) is a visiting lecturer of Hokkaido University. This lecture is a part of his visiting program.
